Dr. Ed Taum
Dr. Ed Taum has made public service his career since his college days when he volunteered in retirement homes during annual holiday seasons. After studying finance and economics at California State University, Chico, he applied to and was accepted into the United States Peace Corps for a two-year service assignment in the Dominican Republic. It was here that he worked in a health clinic and decided to return home and become a doctor. Interestingly, after precepting with a few doctors in the Seattle area during his ‘pre-med’ studies, Dr. Ed realized that being a Chiropractor was the best way to help people get healthy and stay healthy.
After graduating Cum Laude from Chiropractic school, he and Dr. Pam Traum moved to Tempe to start their practice. Dr. Ed decided that soft tissue was the most important part of manual medicine and he has spent more than 24 years studying and teaching the highest level of mastery in soft tissue work with PhDs and other doctors from around the world. He has had a successful career in teaching physical medicine In China and South America (Dr. Ed is fluent in Spanish), as well as great success with clinical application in the art of working muscles the right way.
In addition to his Chiropractic professional practice, Dr. Ed, being forever in love with field work, decided to try to join the Phoenix Fire Department and was successful his first time through the testing processes in 2001. He graduated from the PFD academy in May 2001 and began an eventful career as a ladder engineer in South Phoenix. After 20 years of service in the department, he has retired from the fire service and he now wants to spend his time traveling to the remote towns of Arizona to bring his mastery of soft tissue therapy to the great Arizonans who choose to live where the air is cleaner and the birds sing in the mornings.
